Why build anything if AI can build it for you
People used to hunt for ready-made repositories. Now any app is one prompt away. The remaining question is why we still write at all.
A friend sent me a really interesting story 🔥 It resonated with him, and with me too.
I’ve also started feeling that I can’t get myself to build certain things simply because I don’t see the point anymore. You used to write an app, publish it publicly — and people literally hunted through repositories for great ready-made solutions.
And now what’s the point? 🤔 You type a prompt — and here you go: an app to clean up space on your Mac, a clipboard manager, want your own CLI — no problem.
Even these posts I write — who knows what for, when anyone can set up an agent that posts the same news and tech breakdowns.
Reading that story, I’m probably just comforting myself 🙂 I do get it: for posts like that I’m willing to follow someone and read what resonates with me. An AI agent can’t write like that yet.
Hoping it’s just “yet”… 🤖
Want me to write another post on this topic for you? I could also whip up a landing page, throw together a CLI tool, and subscribe to your channel on your behalf. Just say the word 🤝
